Ivan Fedorov (Fyodorov)

(15??- 1583) - Born in Russia but lived and died in Lvov. The first Russian printed book 'Apostol' was published by him in Moscow in 1564. Due to the prosecutions of reactionary secular and church circles, Fedorov left Moscow. In 1572 he moved to Lvov to initiate printing in Ukraine. In 1574 he published the first Ukrainian book.
