Galicia Genealogy Inquiries - 2017

The messages below are from individuals seeking information on family members from Lviv, Galicia, and surrounding regions.
Unfortunately, new inquiries have slowed down in recent years. This may be because most emigration from the region ended decades ago, the “internet novelty” of genealogy searches has faded, or because the generation with living memory of these family roots is gradually passing on. Still, these postings remain here in hopes they may help future researchers or connect long-lost relatives.

Hello, I am trying to find information on my great grandparents when they lived in Babince, Borszczow, Galicia before 1905.
My great grandfather's first name was Bazyli/Bazili/Wasyl/William; his last name is Yurchak/Jurczak. He was born in 1877.
My great grandmother's first name was Wawara/Barbara/Mary and her maiden name was Rychkun. She was born in 1881.
Prior to boarding a boat from Ternopil to Canada, they had two sons—my uncles Petro (Peter) and Nicoli (Nick), both under the age of 5. On a ticket receipt, my uncle Petro is listed as Rychkun, possibly for safety reasons.
My grandmother knows nothing of her family beyond her parents, and any information on the Yurchak family would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for: Yurchak/Jurczak family, Babince, Borszczow, Galicia; Bazyli/Bazili/Wasyl/William Yurchak, Wawara/Barbara/Mary Rychkun, Petro and Nicoli (Peter and Nick); emigration to Canada before 1905.
